The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Research Development Manager to join the Faculty of Information Technology. In this role, you will report to the Senior Manager of Research, Graduate Research and Engagement.
As the Research Development Manager, you will focus on operationalising the Faculty's research strategy by developing partnerships with government, business, philanthropic partners and research-based organisations and groups. Additionally, you will manage the Faculty's participation in all externally-funded grant schemes. You will lead the development of a program of research capacity-building activities for Academic. You will support the Faculty by managing and leading your team to enable them to meet operational needs, identifying policy gaps, contributing to University initiatives, revising business processes and staffing arrangements, and by providing high-quality advice to academic staff.
To be successful in this role, you will bring your innovative, solutions-focused approach and strong planning and leadership skills to the fore, leveraging your previous exposure to research, and expertise in preparing project proposal budgets, project briefs and promotional materials. This, coupled with your excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills will drive your success in this role.
