  • Term: Fixed-term, part-time (29 hrs per fortnight) basis, for two (2) years
  • Remuneration: $130,347 to $154,804 pa (LEVB) (inclusive of $110,145 to $130,811 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)
  • Location: Kelvin Grove (hybrid option available)

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Research Fellow: Acute and Critical Care to join School of Nursing, Faculty of Health, Academic Division.

The appointee will work on a suite of research projects addressing clinically driven issues that are meaningful and a priority for the health service and consumers. The projects are collaborative in nature, involving researchers, clinicians, decision-makers, and consumers. The ideal candidate would have experience researching, evaluating and/or facilitating the development of complex interventions in an Acute and/or Critical Care setting. They would be familiar with quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods and/or participatory approaches to implementation.

What you need to succeed

  1. Completion of, or progress towards a post graduate research qualification in nursing/midwifery or a related field (health services research, health economics, implementation science, epidemiology, public health).
  2. Demonstrated experience researching, evaluating and/or facilitating the implementation of complex healthcare changes.
  3. Demonstrated experience developing research proposals and writing reports, conference papers and peer-review articles.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work both as a team and independently.
  5. Understanding of implementation science, evidence-based practice, knowledge translation, and quality improvement.
To be eligible for appointment to this role, you will possess the following:
  1. Registered or registerable as a nurse/midwife with the Australian Health Professions Regulation Agency (or international equivalent), and additional certification required for ongoing clinical practice or clinical supervision (blue card, CPR, first aid, and full vaccination including an approved COVID19 vaccine).
