Senior Policy Officer

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Policy Officer (Level 6) with demonstrated skills and experience in research and synthesis of complex information; policy development, implementation and evaluation; and interpretation of legislation.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, demonstrated ability to work with limited direction and collaboratively in team.
Role Responsibilities:
- Conducts research and analysis of strategic issues to identify trends and outcomes relating to work health and safety.
- Prepares reports, briefing notes, public discussion papers and other documents that contribute to policy and legislative development.
- Contributes to Ministerial responses, Client papers and other departmental correspondence.
- Assists with the development and implementation of effective communication between Departmental officers and external stakeholders, including providing executive support to statutory boards and commitees.
- Represents the Group on relevant groups, committees, working parties and public forums.
- Demonstrates skills and experience in research and synthesis of complex information; policy development, implementation and evaluation; and interpretation of legislation.
- Strong communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with limited direction and collaboratively in a team.
