This is an exciting opportunity for a Research Fellow to contribute to the implementation and evaluation of digital health technologies in child development nationwide in Australia. The Tracking Cube is a ready for translation, holistic co-designed solution to monitor child health and neurodevelopment in primary healthcare, with embedded digital tools that guide ongoing screening, early and accurate diagnosis and support for children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., ADHD, FASD, ASD).

The Research Fellow will be instrumental in collecting and interpreting clinical data from an existing NHMRC trial, which explores the diagnostic accuracy of rapid assessments compared to comprehensive assessments that are used in the Tracking Cube. They will also help with developing the research outcomes for a newly funded NHMRC stepped-wedge cluster randomised controlled trial.

The Research Fellow will work alongside project managers in coordinating the trials. They will support training of staff in the Tracking Cube and data collection as needed. They will work with a data scientist who will help organise the large data sets. They will be responsible for data analysis, clinical interpretation of results, and write-up of results for scientific journals.

This is a fixed term (2 years), full time position and will be based at the Griffith University Gold Coast campus.  As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations. Griffith University's campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.

Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary for a Research Fellow Grade 2 is in the range $108,298 - $128,608 per annum + 17% superannuation.  The total FTE package will be in the range $126,708 - $150,471 per annum.

The occupant of this position will hold a PhD Degree in Health Sciences or a related area or equivalent qualifications/work experience.

• Experience administering and interpreting child neurodevelopmental assessments.
• 4-6 years postdoctoral experience conceptualising and conducting collaborative, mixed-method (quantitative and qualitative) research to the highest ethical standards.
• Experience with clinical or implementation trials in real world settings like healthcare and in particular with First Nations research.
• Evidence of effective project management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, written communication, organisational and coordination skills.
• Competence working with digital health technology.
