We are seeking a suitably qualified postdoctoral fellow to be part of our Centre for Quantum Engineering at the School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences at Macquarie University. The successful candidate will conduct independent research and work with the group of Professor Gavin Brennen in collaboration with the quantum security company BTQ Technologies. As a key member of our Quantum team, you will lead the development of Quantum Algorithms for distributed consensus.
Your responsibilities will include: developing Quantum Algorithms, developing streamlined code for simulating quantum Proof-of-Work (QPoW) consensus based on quantum sampling. designing and implementing a test network for QPoW to evaluate communication overheads, identifying problem difficulty specifications, security analysis, and robustness, and leveraging experimental data from physical boson samplers to assess protocol performance.
