Provide research coordination, support for grant applications and mid-level research leadership for the Comprehensive Breast Cancer Institute (CBCI).
About the role
The purpose of the Research Manager is to provide research coordination, support for grant applications and mid-level research leadership for the Comprehensive Breast Cancer Institute (CBCI) that includes coordinating research activities. This will facilitate the provision of quality clinical trial services for investigator initiated and industry sponsored clinical trials, preparation of collaborative research grants and reporting to satisfy governance requirements in a healthcare setting.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following within the context of the “key accountabilities” found in the role description:
- Coordinate all elements of a program of translational research that links research to clinical trials, regulatory processes, quality assurance, commercialisation, and education.
- Provide specialised research skills and services, and broad clinical and healthcare knowledge to assist in the development of research infrastructure and research capacity.
- Participate in collaborative and cross-discipline research with both internal and external collaborators and stakeholders, when needed or requested.
- Develop and maintain communication networks with a diverse multidisciplinary range of collaborators and stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and, where applicable, registration or membership with a relevant Health Practitioner profession for research management. Certified copies of the required documentation must be provided prior to commencement.
- Qualification and/or experience in the coordination and management of clinical research projects and/or clinical trials in a hospital setting is essential.
