THE LOCAL BUSINESS
Cruise Whitsundays is an award winning, innovative, and experienced maritime operator, based in Airlie Beach. Our experiences include day and overnight tours throughout the Whitsundays, as well as resort connection services. We are proud to offer Australia’s first underwater accommodation, Reefsuites, on The Great Barrier Reef and exclusive Reefsleep experience at Reefworld moored offshore at Hardy Reef, 40 nautical miles from Airlie Beach.

THE OPPORTUNITIES

We are searching for a Permanent Full TimeReservations Consultant to join our Hamilton Island based team. This position would require you to live on island, where accommodation is provided for the right candidate (rent is payroll deducted).

We are also on the hunt for a casualReservations Consultant to join our Port of Airlie based team. Where travel to and from Hamilton Island and Daydream Island may be required (transportation & time paid).

Our Reservations Consultants are an integral part of our team providing warm and friendly reception, customer service and sales bookings for all our tour guests. Your primary job is ensure each and every guest has an experience of a lifetime. Together you will share special places and create lasting memories.

Your days might include:

• Greeting and assisting guests ensuring the guests experience is priority;
• Exceptional customer service of all passengers and guests;
• Focus on driving and processing Cruise Whitsundays direct bookings and sales;
• General administration duties such as cash reconciliations and use of databases;
• Booking transport and catering for our guests.

THE CANDIDATE

You now your stuff and are passionate about the Tourism industry with a real commitment to delivering the best standards of customer service.

To be successful in this role, you will have/be the following:

• High level of interpersonal and communication skills;
• Strong sense of self motivation and ability to work anonymously;
• Adaptable with an eye for detail;
• Strong Customer Service and Sales skills;
• Ability to multi-task competing priorities and a solution-based problem solver;
• Proficient with MS Office and general administrative skills;
• Confident with the use of technology and communication devices;

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 years customer service and sales experience;
• Driver's Licence is highly desirable;
• Certificate II in Tourism or Business Admin is highly desirable:
• Familiar with Customlinc or similar reservation platform is highly desirable;
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings and public holidays between the hours of 6:30am and 7:15pm (Port of Airlie) or 7:00am and 5:45pm (Hamilton Island).
