About the role
Our Disability Support Workers (DSW) provide quality care and support to people with disabilities to create and live the lifestyle of their choosing while empowering them to have a voice and achieve their goals. We currently have part-time positions for DSWs at our Supported Disability Accommodation (SDA) house in Heidelberg Heights.
SDA Heidelberg Heights
SDA Heidelberg Heights is a group home that has two units that can house up to three residents each. Each unit has a shared bathroom, two bright and large open-plan living spaces, fully equipped kitchens, outdoor living areas and staff bedroom and bathroom. The house is located close to a wide range of amenities including Austin and Mercy Hospitals, Heidelberg and Rosanna Train Stations, Burgundy Street Shopping Precinct, Upper Heidelberg shops and a large variety of restaurants and cafes.
About you
To be successful in this role you will require:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience within the Disability industry
- Certificate IV in Disability
- Knowledge of and respect for the rights and choices of clients and their families
- A Person-Centred approach to providing care and services
- Basic level of computer and administration skills
- Current Level 2 First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Valid Victorian Driver’s Licence
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
