We are currently seeking a new Team Leader for 2 of our residential houses, located in Newcomb and Armstrong Creek. This role totals 60.8 hours per fortnight.
As a Residential Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest quality of care and support for individuals with disabilities within our residential facilities. You will be responsible for leading a team of support staff, coordinating daily operations, and fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for both residents and staff members.
Duties will include promoting our services to potential residents and agents, identifying client needs, fostering independence while ensuring care, supporting client decision-making and community inclusion, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring strict adherence to policies.
Administrative responsibilities include managing records, overseeing maintenance and supplies, conducting appraisals, handling reports, ensuring safety compliance, supervising staff, and representing the organization professionally.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Sound computer skills, including the ability to open emails, perform online training and record case notes on the client database.
- High level of emotional intelligence, with the ability to self-reflect.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills verbal, non-verbal and written.
- Demonstrated experience supervising support staff in a Disability Services (or similar) environment.
- Proven capacity to contribute to building a team, focused on high quality service.
- Commitment to teamwork and accountability.
- Certificate IV in Disability or Community Services (desirable).
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Valid Australian Driver's License
- Victorian Working with Children Check (employee status)
