About the role:
You must have experience in a diverse range of complexities including challenging behaviours, disengagement, anxiety, and attachment disorders. You will also need to be competent in completing detailed daily case notes and incident reports.
Some of the tasks you will be involved in are:
- Provide encouragement and assistance to young people with the development of their personal and daily living skills as outlined in care plans and house profiles.
- Engage with young people in a range of activities.
- Supporting the involvement of families, facilitating and supervising contact visits.
- Transporting young people to and from school, day programs and appointments.
- Maintaining a homelike environment for young people including cooking, housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry.
Essential Criteria:
- Relevant qualification in Youth Work or Community Services.
- Valid Driver's Licence and Comprehensive Car Insurance.
- Current WA Working with Children Check.
- National Police Check dated within the last 12 months.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Current CPR Certificate.
- Willing to complete a DCP/395 Check.
