About this Opportunity
Safely and efficiently complete manual tasks at the Waste Transfer Station as directed by Supervisor Resources Recovery, Team Leader and Crew Leader.
This position works within a small, motivated team. Some of the duties of this role include:
- Monitor and sort different waste streams on site at Transfer Station
- Assist Residents
- Keeping the site tidy
- Gatehouse duties

About You
To be successful for this role you will require:
- Possession of construction safety awareness “white” card.
- Basic Worksite Traffic Management and Asbestos Awareness/Handling are desirable.
- Ability to identify and sort waste streams.
- Understanding of how to complete Job Safety Analysis forms.
- Ability to complete designated tasks within set time frames.
- Gate house duties, EFTPOS reconciliation.
- Basic computer skills
- Literacy and numeracy skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to present a professional attitude to residents and deal with complaints in a positive manner.
- Team player as well as an ability to work independently and unsupervised.
- Experience in Occupational Safety and Health Regulations.
Hours of Work
This is permanent full-time position, and the standard hours of this role are:
- Thursday and Friday - 6.45 to 3.45 pm
- Saturday and Sunday - 7.00am to 4.00 pm
- Monday - 6.45 am to 3.15pm early finish 8-hour day, Second Monday is Rostered Day Off (RDO)
About the Benefits
This position offers a salary of $66,769.89 per annum plus superannuation. Other inclusions are operational allowance, adverse condition allowance, penalty rates on weekend, annual increments, industrial agreement salary increases, a generous superannuation co-contribution scheme, 22 days annual leave with 17.5% loading.
