Restaurant and Functions Supervisor

The Surf Club Mooloolaba - an iconic Licensed Community Club located on Mooloolaba Beach. Our Club is the go to place on the Sunshine Coast with in excess of 44 000 social members. We are the main financial arm for the Mooloolaba Surf Life Saving Club, who celebrated 100 years of community service in 2022. 

Our Club boasts the Boathouse and Bayview Bar and Bites oceanfront restaurants. 

Your role will be to successfully oversee the operation of our Level 2 beachfront Bayview Bar and Bites beachfront Restaurant and Functions. This venue was awarded Best Dining at the Clubs Qld awards last month.

Qualifications & experience

• Minimum of 3 years restaurant / Functions Supervisory experience
• Proven experience in managing staff and customers
• Excellent organisational skills
• Strong leader with a hands on approach
• Sound knowledge of food trends
• Efficient team rostering
• Ability to work nights, weekends and Public Holidays
• Sound knowledge of Licensing and Food regulations

Tasks & responsibilities

• Providing premium customer service whilst mentoring and motivating the restaurant team.
• You will be the face of the Restaurant, displaying impeccable grooming, attention to detail and customer engagement
• Cost effective rostering using Human Force program
• Overseeing all aspects of the restaurant's operation including functions:
• A friendly, confident and genuine persona is essential.
• Enthusiastic hands on spirit, leading from the front
• Implementing policy and procedures
• Maximising the profitability of the restaurant
