Chihuahua has become Byron Bay's finest mexican Restaurant, we take pride in serving only the best ingredients. Our food is made in-house, all of our meat comes from local farms and is free-range, hormone-free, and antibiotic-free. Our fish is freshly caught and locally sourced. Our corn tortillas are made the traditional way by a Mexican family in the Byron Bay area.
Qualifications & experience
- You must hold a NSW RSA
- 2 years minimum of experience has a Venue/Restaurant manager
- At least 2 years of bar experience, including a minimum of 12 months in a team leadership role
- Able to demonstrate your relevant drink and service knowledge- full knowledge of classic cocktails, understanding of spirits, beers and wines, line cleaning and ability to improvise and create new and exciting beverages
- Experience working in fast paced environments.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Staff Management: Hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising staff members such as bartender, servers and hosts/hostesses.
- Customer Service: Ensuring excellent customer service by interacting with guests, resolving complaints, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
- Operations Management: Overseeing day-to-day operations including inventory management, ordering supplies, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Financial Management: Monitoring sales, controlling costs, and maximizing profitability through effective budgeting and financial planning.
- Quality Control: Maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and overall restaurant appearance.
- Administrative Tasks: Handling paperwork and other administrative duties related to running the restaurant.
- Must be familiar with system like Lightspeed, Deputy etc...
- Must be available for most weekends
