The Park Hotel - Known as 'The place where locals choose to meet'. We have function facilities, catering for up to 100 people, and our on-site bottle shop is fully stocked with a wide variety of fine Australian and imported beverages. The Park Hotel is ideal for a Byron Bay getaway, birthday bash, function, or night out with mates. The Park Hotel is looking for a qualified full-time Restaurant Manager to join the team. To be considered for this role, the candidate must be able to work well independently as well as with a team in fast paced environment. Your daily responsibilities will include:
Position Responsibilities and Tasks
- Plans menus by consulting with chefs; estimates food costs and profits; and/or adjust menus.
- Monitoring quality of services delivered and food quality served at all time through conferring customer's satisfaction with meals.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures.
- Handle customer complaints efficiently.
- Update and use job-related knowledge.
- Achieves restaurant operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans, reviews, and budgeting.
- Organize rosters. Recruit and train new staff.
- Arrange maintenance and repair of equipment and other services.
- Total receipts and balance against sales, deposit receipts and lock facility at end of day.
- Schedule work hours for servers and kitchen staff.
- Estimate consumption, forecast requirements, and maintain inventory.
- Organize, plan and prioritize.
- Make decisions and solve problems concerning menus and staff.
- Communicate with customers, sales reps and suppliers.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma or higher related qualification
- At least 2 years previous experiences in similar roles
- Fast learner to understand and apply new knowledge and techniques.
Salary:
The role offers a remuneration package of $70,000 plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
