We are looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to organize daily operations and motivate our staff to provide excellent customer service.
To be successful in this role you will have previous experience in managing a cafe.
This role will be hands on and will entail, monitoring the staff service delivery, budgeting and rostering and making sure that the food display is appealing and appetising.
Ultimately, you will help increase profitability and boost customer engagement for the café you are managing.
Responsibilities
- Manage, lead, motivate and train the FOH staff to deliver excellent customer service
- Manage labour costs by effective rostering
- Be the face of the business at all times and act in a respectful manner to staff and customers
- Address customer complaints in a professional manner and resolve immediately to maintain company reputation
- Assist the Head Chef on concentrating on repetitive business/customers by implementing special promotions etc.
- Ensure staff keep the cafe cleaned to a high standard
- Organise daily opening and closing and ensure security procedures are in place
Requirements and skills
- Have worked previously as a Restaurant Manager
- Proven leadership experience with creativity and imagination
- Adept with the food and beverage industry
- Excellent communication skills as well as fluency in English
- Ability to multi-task and remain calm when busy or under pressure
- High level attention to detail
- Strong initiative and ability to think and act promptly
