Job DescriptionWe are looking for experienced, passionate, fun and professional individuals to join the floor team. If you love Japanese food, have a thirst to continually develop your skills, enjoy learning about wine and sake, and creating memorable customer experiences, we would love to hear from you. We are looking for fun and energised Waiters and Floor Staff to work on a casual basis.
- The ability to add to an amazing team-oriented culture.
- Assisting the management team by leading and supervising the Ora team to ensure excellent customer service.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food delivery.
- Manage and resolve any customer issues or complaints in a professional manner.
- Train and mentor new waitstaff, providing guidance and support.
- Uphold Ora Restaurant’s standards of cleanliness, presentation, and customer interaction.
- Assist in developing and implementing service policies and procedures.
- Confidently talk about Japanese food (training provided).
- Constantly learn about food and beverage offerings.
Qualifications- Previous leadership or supervisory experience is required.
- Experience as a section waiter in premium restaurant environments.
- A friendly, approachable and engaging demeanour to both guests and colleagues alike.
- Knowledge of wine, spirits and cocktails.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Passionate about delivering great customer experience.
- Demonstrated experience in food and beverage service.
- Interest in regular training and self-development.
- Flexible availability, we will be busiest over the weekends, so you will need to have availability of those key shift times.
