Retail & Commercial Interior Designer

For one of our clients, a thriving, growing business led by experts in their field, we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Retail & Commercial Interior Designer to join its growing team in the Sydney area. You will design and manage premium retail shopfitting projects for global retail brands from design to implementation.
The business is continuously expanding, and this position is key to its success.
Main Responsibilities:
Design retail/commercial fittings for clients based on brand guidelines and briefs provided.
Work with clients to understand their design preferences and recommend appropriate products, materials, and finishes
Create detailed floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings.
Estimate project costs, including materials and labour
Schedule the project
Collaborate with other members of the team (joiner, cabinetmaker, contractors, etc), suppliers and other professionals as needed (including Chinese manufacturers)
Coordinate, support and supervise the team on-site during installation of the settings until the final delivery to the client
Manage the tendering and procurement of subcontractors if needed
Support the Business Development Director and build a strong Brand reputation in the industry
About you:?Education & experience
Bachelor's degree in interior design or architecture is a must have
Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail/Commercial Interior design which makes you a specialist in the field
Experience working for luxury brands in an international environment is a plus
Strong knowledge of materials and finishes used in retail/commercial settings
Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign will be highly regarded
Skills

Self-motivated, entrepreneurial spirit with a strong work ethic
Excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills
Ability to communicate in Mandarin and Cantonese with suppliers located in China is a plus
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Willing to travel interstate and internationally when needed
Outstanding organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills
Great attention to detail, able to take on and be proficient with multiple projects at a time
An eagerness to be part of a team that consistently works to exceed client's expectations
Good Microsoft Office Skills
Autocad expertise is highly regarded.

Annual salary range: 90K - 100k + Bonus + Superannuation
