The ARA Retail Institute is looking for ‘contractor’ trainers & Assessors and course coordinators that have a commitment to the future of retail. We are looking for passionate people with a desire to see the retail sector move beyond its transitional reputation to become a more focused, career-driven industry.
Job Description
The ARA Retail institute is responsible for the delivery of learning that motivates and builds both confidence and competence for learners either looking to start a career in retail or seeking to progress their retail careers in leadership and management roles.
As a contractor Trainer & Assessor, you will play a key role in upskilling participants through highly engaging and practical professional development and skills development programs. By sharing your professional knowledge and experience, you will support the career advancement of individuals and enhancing both business and industry performance.
Training and Assessment
Prepare and deliver engaging training sessions
Facilitate structured learner support services
Complete assessments for each learner, ensuring adherence to VET Quality Framework
Contribute to internal and external audit/validation program (as required)
Support Course Coordination (as required)
Required Qualification, Skills & Experience
MUST hold a TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or equivalent)
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the Services Sector (Retail, Hospitality, Tourism etc) – OR - relevant Customer Service, Sales or General Business experience - currency from at least 2020 is essential.
Hold a current Working with Children Check or willingness to complete if successful
Complete a National Criminal Check if successful
Clear and confident communication skills - able to engage and present information across a range of delivery modes (F2F, Online or Blended)
Well-organised and able to set and work to tight deadlines
Passionate in sharing skills and experience to optimise learning outcomes
Enthusiastic about training and developing people from a wide range of diverse backgrounds
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Desirable
Knowledge and experience using a Learning Management System
Demonstrated experience in delivering Vocational Education & Training qualifications across a broad range of learners.
Experience working with disadvantaged jobseekers and the NDIS will be highly regarded.
Availability to travel to different destinations within QLD if required
A current driver’s license and access to a vehicle
