We are seeking an experienced retail supermarket Operations Manager to lead our team and drive operational excellence within our fleet of stores based in Brisbane’s Bayside. You’ll play a pivotal role in the continued success and growth of our supermarkets by overseeing the daily operations of our 8 stores.

The Role:
This is a diverse role which will report directly to the General Manager and form part of the Senior Leadership team. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our supermarkets, ensuring KPI’s are being met across the business. You’ll have strong leadership skills, a passion for developing and growing people, financial acumen with the ability to manage and create budgets/expenditure, and a love for providing a true foodie experience to our customers.
To be successful in this position you will:
- Have experience in overseeing multi-site large format supermarkets, minimum 5 years
- Coach and lead a specialist team who are responsible for managing daily operations across our group
- Monitor, audit and develop systems and operational processes to continue to grow our business
- Manage KPI’s such as wage budgets, profitability, markdowns and shrinkage
- Provide KPI reporting and liaise regularly with the Senior Leadership team including the business owners
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Lead, motivate and inspire the specialist team, Store Managers and Department Managers to achieve performance goals
- Manage KPI’s, think strategically and analyse sales/performance data to identify opportunities for improvement to sales and profitability
- Foster a high-performance culture through continuous improvement and innovation
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and relevant government bodies
- Implement and ensure stores and team members adhere to company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
- Provide training and development opportunities to the specialist team and Store/Department Managers
- Manage and develop performance of direct reports
