Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will be responsible for the operational performance of our Brisbane Airport Retail business. The position requires a willingness to take initiative and be proactive with the ability to develop and lead our team, focusing on achieving successful business performance through excellent communication, performance management and the establishment of clear and measurable goals and objectives.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for:
- Preparation, implementation and execution of strategic and annual business plans
- Financial & statistical analysis of cost, budgets, policies, operations, trends and opportunities with regular weekly/monthly reporting
- Analysis of business unit performance, recommendations for improvement & timely execution of approved plans and initiatives
- Communicate and develop relationships with our landlord and external parties to maximize future business opportunities and long-term cooperation
- Providing input to the preparation of tender submissions for new ventures
- Leading, coaching & developing Area Managers' to maximise the execution of their role
We seek applicants with the ability to demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a retail operational management role, preferably within travel retail, department store, specialty retail or FMCG industry
- Demonstrated track record of working to targets, KPI’s and delivering results in line with budgets and forecasts
- Proven customer service focus with hands-on approach to operational management
- Experience in developing high performance teams
- Strong financial and commercial acumen
- Tertiary qualifications in a business or related field
