About the role:
We are looking for a full-time Retail Team Leader that is passionate about customers and driving a positive team culture. The Team Leader will use their highly developed communication skills to nurture a culture of success, collaboration and FUN by actively coaching, training & motivating their team members.
The Retail Team Leader will report directly to the Operations Manager, and is responsible for the effective daily running of the Moorabbin retail store.
Some of your key areas of responsibility will include:
- Management of team members, including development, performance management and training
- Leading by example by providing excellent customer service, in line with Art Shed’s values
- Sales and the customer experience
- Completing daily administrative tasks, stocktakes and price updates
- Stock management including receival, replenishment and merchandising
About you:
At Art Shed, we work as a team! We are looking for proactive and driven individuals who can lead by example and demonstrate a high level of enthusiasm and commitment. Our culture is tongue in cheek, fun, and at times a little silly, and our primary focus is providing the best customer service to our customers. To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Extensive, demonstrated previous experience working in a retail supervisory and/or leadership role
- Must have strong HR skills including, recruitment and induction of new staff, ability to follow drive adherence to company policies and procedures and be confident in performance management
- Must be a natural leader, love building a fun store and team culture
- Strong business acumen, sales driven and results-focused
- Demonstrate significant expertise and understanding of merchandising techniques, stock rotation and in-store shrinkage and theft prevention.
- Experience in consistently exceeding sales targets and meeting various budget requirements.
- Ability to interpret sales figures and calculate targets, comprehend company policies and various legislation, write and compile reports
- Be an expert in customer service and sales and have the ability to lead your team to drive sales and achieve store budgets, team KPI's & operational goals
- A positive, driven and enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to grow and learn with the company
- Background and love of ART would be a huge advantage!
- Availability on weekends
