About this Role
We are seeking a Revenue Accountant to join our team in Sydney. This is a 6-12 months maternity leave cover contract and we are open to Part Time.
As a Revenue Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in our finance function, ensuring accurate revenue recognition and job reporting. You will collaborate closely with the cross-functional teams, working closely with our Commercial Manager providing financial insights that drive our business's success.
What you'll be responsible for
WIP Management
- Manage client WIP for reconciliation and contract compliance
- Ensure prompt invoicing for accurate revenue recognition
- Attend stakeholder meetings for job review, billing, and re-forecasting
- Monitor and reconcile revenue and provide variance analysis for Management
Invoicing
- Collaborate with Account Management Leads to confirm monthly invoicing amounts
- Prepare and finalize invoice pro-formas, liaise for reviews, and issue invoices to clients
- Maintain revenue working files
Production Billings
- Coordinate printing and distribution of job detail reports (JDR's)
- Review and reconcile JDR's with account management, process monthly billings, and minimize debit Balance WIP, ensuring timely return of JDR's. Additionally, coordinate and print necessary month-end reports for Production Billings
Intercompany Billings
- Monitor and ensure accurate recording of costs and revenue for intercompany arrangements
- Coordinate with Business Leaders for monthly confirmation and timely issuance of intercompany invoices, addressing any disputes promptly
Reporting
- Prepare client-specific reports as required, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual obligations
- Monitor unreleased estimate status, WIP balances, and review cost estimates for adherence to client contracts
- Generate comprehensive month-end reports for WIP, Accrued, and Deferred Income, accompanied by insightful commentary on aging and recoverability
Training and business support
- Systems and process training of new starters and refresher courses for existing staff where required
- Work closely with Account Management teams and promptly address any queries
Skills and Qualifications you'll need

- Previous experience in a billing's roles
