ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE:
In this rewarding opportunity, you will join the St Vincent's Private Hospital Melbourne (SVPHM) team as a permanent Part-time Revenue Officer in our Revenue Department based at our Fitzroy campus.
Bring your passion for collaboration and administration skills to the role, where you will work with patients, health funds and other third party payers. This role will report into the Revenue Services Manager.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Ensuring accurate billing and account processing to health funds and uninsured patients efficiently
- Managing outstanding patient and health fund accounts
- Overseeing patient complaints and queries regarding accounts
- Receipting of health fund and patient payments
- Generating and sending invoices and claim forms
- Liaising with patients, health funds, other third-party payers as well as internal and external stakeholders regularly
- Maintaining accurate documentation of patient records
- Scanning of patient files
- Filing paperwork
- 2 days per week - up to Full-time when required
- Full-time required whilst training

ABOUT YOU:
You will be an enthusiastic and proactive individual with a strong communication skills. You can work within timeframes and KPIs to support the Accounts Receivable department to deliver results and success.
Your skills will include:
- Experience with Patient Management systems (WebPAS experience preferred)
- Strong computer skills (data entry) and a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to exercise discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential information
- Team focused approach, including strong sense of initiative and the ability to handle the pressure of a busy workload and deadlines
- Previous experience in the Private Hospital Billing/Debt Collection field is highly desirable
- Possess strong customer service skills and friendly demeanor
