Are you looking for the next step in your career? The Finance and Procurement team have an exciting opportunity for a Revenue Services Officer with an expertise in rates.
About the Role:
Finance & Procurement provides the accounting, budgeting, financial statements preparation, revenue collection, procurement, payroll and accounts payable functions within Council.
Skills, experience and certificates:
- Sound working knowledge of the rating, voting and special rates and charges provisions of the Local Government Act and the Pensioner Rates Assistance Scheme
- Qualifications in Administration, Finance and or Business Systems or relevant experience in Rates
- High level of emotional intelligence
- Working knowledge of legal debt collection terminology and collection procedures
- Demonstrated experience in account reconciliations
- Fundamental understanding of accounting principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
