Using your understanding and experience in interpreting legislation, you will:
- maintain internal review register from commencement to final decision
- assess internal review applications by assessing and obtaining information from various sources
- interpret and apply the requirements of the relevant legislation and policies
- prepare memoranda containing a chronology of information and information gathered from various sources to support the recommendation/s and letters about the matter to the decision maker
- ensure that parties involved in an internal review matter have received natural justice throughout the process and are made aware of their appeal rights and applicable timeframes in writing
- identify learnings and business improvements to improve administrative decision making processes within QLeave
- work with other business units in relation to improvement initiatives
- respond to enquiries via telephone and email regarding internal review applications and provide assistance to other teams where they have a query about an internal review process
- escalate any complaints received about an internal review matter to the Manager Review and Assurance
- ensure relevant documentation is registered in the records management system on the relevant employer or worker's file, and in a review folder.

For this role, we will consider how well you:
- Case manage assigned matters or reviews, research and apply case assessment skills and problem solving techniques, and make recommendations
- Apply, interpret and provide advice on legislation, policies and procedures during the administrative decision making process
- Have advanced training or practical experience working within a legislative or legal environment or have experience in recommending or making administrative decisions
- Have well developed written communication skills to produce high quality, persuasive recommendations (based on the applicable legislation) in memoranda to the delegate
- Have strong interpersonal skills and contribute to the team achieving outcomes and enhancing relationships with other organisational teams
