Our client is a boutique financial service business (funds/wealth management) looking for a dynamic Risk and Compliance professional to join their lean team for a 12-month fixed term contract.
You will be working directly with the Head of Risk and Compliance, gain hands-on and broad exposure managing the Risk and Compliance function.
Responsibilities will include:
- Ongoing monitoring and review of compliance obligations and risk management frameworks.
- Conducting Risk and Compliance monitoring activities, mandate monitoring, and risk assessments.
- Reviewing promotional materials and product disclosures.
- Managing incidents, breaches, and complaints, maintaining all registers.
- Reviewing, developing, and implementing, policies and procedures.
- Preparing and delivering Risk and Compliance training to staff.
- Preparing board and committee papers.
- Keeping up to date with regulatory and legislative changes.
- Providing Risk and Compliance advice to the business and answering queries.
- Circa 3-5 years of risk, compliance, and assurance experience.
- Background in financial services, specifically in funds management and wealth management.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work in a lean environment and willingness to be hands on.
