Summary of Responsibilities: This role will be part of MetLife's first line of defense and supports management in identifying and managing risks within the business. The role reports to the Head of Service and Administration & Analytics and Governance and assists in driving the overall risk and control agenda and program. Key responsibilities: Regulatory and Governance Proactively raise, analyse and manage operational risk to meet all policy and compliance requirements, deploy controls, develop and adhere to processes and procedures; escalate identified issues or breaches appropriately using the Tickit on Demand system Work with the Ethics and Compliance team and the Compliance Risk Management Program (CRMP) to ensure Operations comply with all relevant legislation, regulations and guidance notes which apply from a financial services perspective; Develop an Operations specific Risk incident and Compliance Breach protocol in collaboration with MetLife’s internal Risk and Compliance teams Lead and owner of Operations reporting input for APRA, ASIC and LCCC Ensure appropriate business oversight and governance disciplines Educate and advocate for MetLife’s Global Privacy Principles and Policy to ensure consistent and ethical conduct when Operations teams are working with personal information Work with Data team and reporting functions to ensure external reporting is fit for purpose Analyse and interpret risk trends occurring across Operations to inform appropriate actions Operations lead for MetLife’s Business Continuity Management (BCM) to assist and enable business resumption services for crisis management, business continuity and disaster recovery. Customer and Stakeholders (internal and external) Monitoring and oversight of service levels, quality, productivity targets and customer ratings service measures (tNPS) Oversight of internal audits into Operations and all reinsurance claims and underwriting audits Regular engagement with sales / distribution teams to ensure our market proposition includes our risk and compliance obligations Ensure COO and Operations Leadership Team kept up to date and aware of all regulatory changes effecting MetLife Operations Experience Required: Strong experience in Operational Risk management (preferably within banking/financial services) Experience in risk management, risk consulting, project assurance, project/solution delivery or audit Ability to analyse/identify risks and Influencing and consulting skills, the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to think critically and analytically and use data driven insights to solve problems Willingness to learn with a strong team culture To apply, please send your CV to *********@metlife.com Applications close Monday March 4, 2024 MetLife is proud to be an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
