Position Overview:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team for a part-time role, working one day a week on Fridays. This position is ideal for a nurse looking to balance work with other commitments while still being part of a leading healthcare team. The role involves working closely with our team of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and allied health professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Triage and patient assessment
- Clinical patient care including wound care, immunizations, ear syringing, and assistance with minor surgical procedures
- Chronic disease management and development of preventative health care plans
- Diagnostic services including ECG, ABI, and 24ABPM; Audiometry testing
- Management of recall and reminder systems, clinical data management, medical supplies, and accreditation compliance
Skills and Experience Required:
- Minimum of two years of experience in general practice nursing
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Experience with Medicare and Care Plan management
- Proficient in the use of practice management software (experience with Best Practice is advantageous)
- Demonstrated patient-focused approach in service provision
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Committed to ongoing professional development
- Flexibility to extend hours occasionally to cover periods of leave and additional patient services
