We have a fantastic opportunity at our Alice Ross-King Care Centre in Bull Creek for an experienced Roster Coordinator. This role is essential in helping RAAFA maintain the ability to deliver the exceptional care that we are known for. You will be responsible for arranging staff training, managing the site training matrix, supporting the Facility Manager in identifying recruitment needs and arranging staff appraisals and staff leave requests.

The role and you:
- A strong understanding of contemporary rostering practices;
- An ability to build and maintain a roster, allocating staff with appropriate skills and knowledge, and in line with budget and EBA awards;
- Experience coordinating a team of shift workers in the aged care industry or similar environment as well as developing and fostering a positive team culture;
- Demonstrated computer literacy in word processing, excel spread sheets, calendar management and experience using the rostering tool Optima (or similar);
- Demonstrated administration experience with a high level of attention to detail;
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Highly organised with the ability to multitask;
- Ability to work independently and problem solve issues related to any part of the role;
- Demonstrated confidential approach to managing employees’ information;
- Experience in award and agreement interpretation and understanding how to apply these when rostering in 24/7 environments;
- A passion for working in Aged Care and genuine care and respect for older people.
About the Facilities:
Set on 11 hectares of land in Bull Creek, the Alice Ross-King Care Centre is a 102-bed Residential Care Centre located on the banks of Lake Howard at RAAFA's Air Force Memorial Estate. The contemporary two-storey care centre was created to maximise natural lighting within the centre and capitalise on its serene lakeside location. With stunning lakeside views and a natural parkland home to many native birds including ducks and swans, where could be a better place to work!
What you need to do:
- Have extensive experience in a similar role;
- Have a valid "C" Class Drivers Licence;
- Update your resume;
- Be eligible to work in Australia;
- Satisfactory National Police Certificate (on commencement of employment to be within six months from date of issue) or willing to obtain one;
