Sunflower Services, an emerging NDIS provider in Newcastle, Maitland, and the Hunter region, where we are dedicated to fostering a supportive environment for both our clients and our team members. We operate with a commitment to trauma-informed care, tailoring our approach to meet the unique needs of each individual we support while ensuring their NDIS goals are achieved.
We are seeking empathetic, resilient, and dynamic individuals to join our team, as a Full-Time, Rostering Coordinator. The position will be over 5 days a week, flexible hours available. You will be able to work between both our offices in East Maitland and Newcastle.
As a Rostering Coordinator at Sunflower Services, your responsibilities include:
- Coordinate and manage the scheduling and rostering of support workers for clients with disabilities
- Liaise with clients, support workers, and other team members to ensure that shifts are filled promptly and effectively
- Monitor and adjust rosters in response to changing client needs, staff availability, and operational requirements
- Maintain accurate records of shifts, including hours worked and client preferences
- Provide support and guidance to support workers regarding their schedules and duties
To succeed in the role, you will need:
- Previous experience in rostering, scheduling, or a similar role, preferably in the disability or healthcare sector
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients and staff
- Knowledge of relevant software systems and tools for rostering and scheduling (e.g., rostering software, Microsoft Excel)
- Understanding of disability support services and the needs of individuals with disabilities
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
