opportunity currently exists for an RPG Developer (AS400 iSeries)
to join the Oceania Information Services (IS) team, being part of
the greater Mohawk Global IS team. The Mohawk Global IS team is
focused on creating and sustaining an innovative information
technology culture as one dynamic team.
About the Role
Based in Geelong Victoria, this is a fantastic opportunity for
an experienced RPG programmer with strong solution development
skills.
Working on an industry leading platform, you will help to
maintain a custom-built ERP system. You will undertake a variety of
tasks including programming and analysis and solution development,
all while working within a dedicated, supportive and creative team.
Some participation in project related work will be part of this
role including interfacing and data conversions as we gradually
transition our RPG system across to SAP.
About the Successful Candidate
You will be detail oriented, with strong RPG programming skills
and be a proven problem solver. To be successful in this role you
will possess:
5 years plus experience in RPG programming
SQL experience
A disciplined approach to providing clearly documented
code
Experience in supporting, modifying and testing custom
applications
A proven background in providing quality solutions
As a clear communicator (written and verbal), who is highly
motivated, you will work well within a close-knit team and assist
stakeholders across all aspects of the organisation to solve
business and system issues.
A background working on manufacturing and/or sales systems would
be advantageous.
