About the Scholarship ProgramSaab Australia's University Scholarship Program presents you a fantastic opportunity to kick start your career and gain valuable insight into the Engineering and Defence Industry!We offer General Engineering, Women in Engineering and First Nations Scholarships. As part of our Scholarship program, you will:
- Be awarded a Scholarship of $3,000 per calendar year to support your studies across your second and third years of University
- Be matched and supported by a Saab Australia mentor for personalised professional growth, advice and encouragement
- Learn more about the Saab business and the meaningful projects we deliver
- Be invited to apply to our Internship Program in your penultimate year and Graduate Program after the completion of your studies.
- Be enrolled as an undergraduate student at the time of application and subsequent years
- Be in your second year of a Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields:
- Engineering, specialising in:
- Software Engineering/Computer Science
- Computer Systems/Networking/IT
- Cyber Security
- Electrical/Electronics Engineering
- Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering
- Physics/Mathematics/Science or related technical discipline
- Our First Nations Scholarships are open to those studying the above mentioned disciplines, as well as the following:
- Business/Commerce/Human Resources
- Finance
- Law or related business discipline
- Be residents of South Australia, Victoria or Western Australia (as these states are primary locations of Saab facilities for subsequent Internship and Graduate positions)
- Hold Australian Citizenship for Defence security clearance requirements
- A copy of your CV, including your education, anticipated year of completion, employment history, extra-curricular activities and accomplishments;
- A most recent copy of your Academic Transcript; and
- A cover letter outlining the following questions:
- What sparked your interest in your chosen field of study? What do you hope to accomplish with your degree?
- What do you hope to gain out of your connection with Saab Australia as part of this scholarship?
- If you are shortlisted after the review process, our team will make contact via email to inform you about the next stage
- Select candidates will be invited to attend an in-person interview
- Candidates progressing to the final stages in the recruitment process will undergo pre-employments checks
- Successful candidates will then be verbally offered a Scholarship. Once a verbal agreement is reached, a letter of offer will be sent.
