- Salary: $89,253.00 – $144,291.00 p.a. - MDP2G - Full Time / Term Contract (up to 12 Months)
Bringing your experience in a critical care medical discipline, you will work with a small team including an experienced Retrieval Paramedic or Nurse colleague to provide the highest level of emergency medical patient treatment and transport to critically ill or injured South Australians through immediate response either by helicopter, rapid response road vehicle or turbo prop fixed wing aircraft.
You will also provide immediate care to patients in inter-facility transport and retrieval environments and you may also participate in patient retrieval and repatriation utilising jet fixed wing and commercial airlines.
Demonstrating independent and autonomous experience in the initial management of acutely ill and injured patients, you will require the ability to effectively work within a multi-disciplinary team assembled in the pre and inter-hospital setting to address urgent and emergency health responses. Excellent communication skills with a focus on problem solving and conflict resolution will be essential.
You will be supported and mentored prior to independent retrieval operations through ongoing teaching, training, audit and quality assurance activities and have the opportunity to gain experience operating as a member of a high functioning and experienced team of professional emergency medicine Physicians/Consultants, Paramedics and Nurses.
To be successful, you must hold a Bachelor of Medicine: Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent and will be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as Medical Practitioner and satisfy mandatory registration requirements in accordance with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA). You should also be enrolled in an advanced critical care training program (Emergency Medicine, Anaesthesia, Pre-hospital Care, Intensive Care or equivalent
