Our team is looking for an experienced Rail Safety Administrator to continue to develop and enhance our safety culture and lead innovative safety strategies with our team. This is a great opportunity to be involved in a challenging scope of work in the rail industry.
Key Responsibilities of this position include:
- Arrange safety inspections of site work and communicate recommendations with Protection Officers
- Conduct Worksite Protection Plan audits
- Monitor safe working related documentation for compliance purposes
- Support, coordinate and provide advice on safety practices, systems and procedures
- Incident management and reporting involving internal and external parties
- Keeping up to date with WHS legislation
To be part of this exciting team the successful candidate should possess the following:
- Qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety is a must
- Previous experience in the rail industry or Safeworking is highly regarded
- Knowledge of auditing, safety inspections and compliance reporting procedures and processes
- Strong ability to develop excellent working relationships with all staff
- Hold an RIW Card or willing to obtain
- Proficient with computers and MS Office – Word and Excel
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Australian driver’s licence
