The Foxleigh Coal Mine is located 78 kilometres north of Blackwater in Queensland. Macmahon is currently seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to join the Foxleigh Project team. This position will be on a 5D2X4D3X roster, DIDO. Reporting to the HSEQT Manager, this site-based role will see you engage effectively with all site personnel & the client to create a performance culture that delivers positive project results.
About the role
- Provide HSEQ Management Systems mentoring & guidance.
- Liaise with our clients on WHS activities & site-based lead and lag indicators.
- Assisting with accident / incident investigations as required.
- Maintain & review site corrective action & hazard reporting processes.
- Complete site inspections & audits in line with the safety planner & site-based activity planners.
- Complete monthly safety reporting & the daily inputs into the company's event management system.
- Source & distribute safety & health awareness information to site information boards.
- Assist supervision with the injury management & return to work processes.
- Monitor the mental health of our people and referring them to the EAP services as needed.
About you
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in safety management.
- 5+ years operational and safety experience in mining/civil construction.
- Understanding of the strategic direction & its impact on how the project works & delivers value.
- Standard 11 induction.
- Manual drivers' licence.
