Currently, an opportunity exists for a proactive and energetic Health & Safety Advisor.
Reporting to the Human Resources Director and working closely with our Health and Safety Manager – Operations, ANZ Zip Service Manager and Interstate Sales Managers, the primary focus of this role is to support our field Service teams as well as our interstate/NZ offices and warehouses. You will assist with driving, facilitating and implementing significant and meaningful health and safety improvements with leaders and team members, assisting them to understand their challenges, creating learning opportunities from issues and incidents to enable them to perform more effectively and to drive good safety outcomes.
Your day will involve:
- Constructively working with and supporting Service leaders on risk management
- Building the Service teams collective health and safety capacity by providing specialist health and safety advice, support and coaching
- Focusing the Service teams efforts on understanding and managing its risk profile, verifying critical control implementation and in identifying and coordinating risk reduction, improvement and assurance activities
- Facilitation and management of incident response and subsequent analysis and learnings
- Supporting the Service team in appropriate preparation, management and response to HSE Regulatory Compliance inspections, audits, statutory reports and prescribed incident notifications
- Maintaining oversight of HSE risk registers and facilitating risk assessment/SWMS reviews relevant to Service and the offsite warehouse facilities
- Ensure Assurance Audits are completed in line with the Audit and Assurance Program and monitor closeout of WHS actions.
- Oversee workers compensation management and RTW coordination for the Service team
- Occasional interstate travel will be required
What are we looking for?
- A positive and proactive approach with a willingness and commitment to partnering with and supporting the Field Service business and offsite warehouse teams
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of WHS regulations, systems, processes and Information Systems
- At least a Cert IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety
- Superior interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence and communication skills with a natural ability to build solid relationships
- RTW quals
