We are currently seeking a highly motivated Safety Professional to join us as a Safety Advisor for a 12-month maternity leave cover. This role will be based in our Sydney office and oversee safety operations for our corporate safety and national sales teams! This contract position is available for immediate start and will finish in February 2025.
About the role:
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and develop strategies to promote a safety culture within our Sydney head office.
- Collaborate with sales teams to identify and address safety concerns, conduct safety training, and promote best practices in the field.
- Support return to work processes
- Actively engage with various teams to gather and share safety knowledge, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Coach and influence our teams on Lion’s safety management systems.
- Join our leadership meetings to provide safety information and stay up to date on business updates.
About You:
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in Safety.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with and build relationships with stakeholders remotely.
- Ability to adapt and learn quickly, demonstrating a keen interest in expanding knowledge across different areas.
