About the role
Be a pivotal part of our People and Culture team, driving excellence in health, safety, and Injury management. You'll be instrumental in supporting operational health and safety activities, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring accurate reporting. Additionally, you'll take charge of crafting and maintaining injury management plans, navigating workers' compensation intricacies, and guiding individuals through the return-to-work process. Your dedication will directly contribute to a safer, more supportive workplace environment, fostering employee well-being and organisational success. Join us and be the catalyst for positive change.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, workers' compensation laws, and company policies.
- Develop, implement, and oversee return-to-work strategies.
- Provide timely advice to employees and managers on health and safety matters.
- Support workplace inspections, incident reporting and procedural updates.
- Administer workers’ compensation case files and recover-at-work plans.
- Promote health, safety, and wellbeing programs.
- Collaborate with leaders to address safety concerns and facilitate employee return to work.
Who are we looking for?
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in health and safety or related fields preferred.
- Passion for workplace health and safety, especially in animal care.
- Experience in developing and implementing injury management and return-to-work programs.
- Proficient in data analysis and report presentation.
- Maintains high confidentiality standards.
- Excellent communication skills for building relationships across all levels.
- Thrives in collaborative team environments.
- Detail-oriented with effective workload prioritisation skills.
