The role
You will be the safety champion, supporting the Risk Management Team. You will ensure the implementation and support for our Integrated Management Systems (IMS), providing specialist safety expertise and advice to the wider business.
This role will be a full-time permanent position based at our National Support Office at Homebush Bay Drive in Rhodes.
You will be responsible for
The role will foster hazard identification and safety behaviours, promoting adherence to the IMS and environmentally sustainable behaviours, share knowledge and documentation, focusing on the continuous improvement of our compliance framework. You will actively engage and influence various internal stakeholders to operationalise, review and ‘draw value’ from safe practices and working within the IMS.
Tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Safety & IMS matters including:
- Development, implementation, and maintenance of safety practices,
- Keeping abreast of all OHS/WHS regulations and trends,
- Identifying and training sites as required,
- Assess HSE findings and provide solutions to minimise risk,
- Workplace risk assessments and reporting,
- Investigate workplace incidents,
- Collate, analyse and present safety data and reporting (internal and stakeholder),
- Draft and document safe work practices.
- Documentation:
- Maintaining and updating safety systems,
- Assist with internal audits,
- Compile data reporting for meetings,
- Develop online templates, forms, and procedures.
The right candidate will
- Have appropriate OHS/WHS experience, knowledge and qualifications - Diploma in WHS preferred,
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding with experience in the International Standards of Compliance (ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001),
- Hold the Training and Assessment Qualification (TAE),
- Have knowledge and understanding of operations in the cleaning industry or similar,
- Have high proficiency in Windows Office,
- Have exceptional interpersonal skills,
- Have a passion for being highly organised to work on multiple projects,
- Be available to travel regionally, interstate and on-site as required.
