With three main Business Units: Holidays, Villages and Communities, this role sits within the Communities Business Unit, comprising of 22 individual mixed residential and tourist parks.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Compliance Manager for Hampshire Communities, you will play a vital role in upholding our commitment to regulatory adherence and ethical practices across Compliance and Work, Health and Safety. This is a new and exciting chapter for the business, where you will help shape and implement policies and procedures across Compliance and Safety.

Reporting to the General Manager of Operations – Communities, you will consult and work closely with a peer-group of Compliance Managers from other business units to ensure consistency across the business.

This role is a remote position (Syd, Bris or Melb location preferred), and you will be required predominately to work from your home office, ensuring a suitable and productive working environment. There is a requirement to travel to sites from time to time (as planned).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Develop and uphold a robust compliance and safety structure that meets statutory requirements and industry benchmarks.
  • Regularly assess each Property within the portfolio to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, industry mandates and internal compliance audits.
  • Monitor the Compliance ticketing system and platform for the business unit and manage any outstanding actions.
  • WHS Management: Consult to develop and maintain WHS Management system to ensure compliance and consistency.
  • Manage, monitor and maintain WHS induction program and training of Park Managers on Compliance and WHS.
  • Critical incident and crisis management: EMP implementation and understanding across the business.
  • Collaborate with Management to establish and implement dynamic compliance system, that evaluates risks effectively.
  • Collaborate across the business with a peer group of Compliance Managers to implement consistent best practice processes, programs and initiatives
  • Strategically advise and report on metrics within essential compliance requisites and steer their integration.
  • Monitor ever-evolving regulations, facilitating seamless assimilation into our practices. • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external regulators, championing compliance, WHS and resolution.
  • Collaborate to assist in designing and delivering in-house training programs, fostering a culture of awareness and understanding.

ABOUT YOU 

  • Past roles as a Compliance or Safety Manager within the industry or a related front-customer facing field.
  • Possess desirable certifications in compliance or WHS management, reflecting your commitment.
  • Understanding of legislative requirements
  • Meticulous attention to detail and adept problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, adapting complex compliance info for diverse stakeholder understanding.
  • Thrive autonomously and within teams, driving proactive measures.
  • Uphold high ethical standards, embedding compliance consciousness.
  • Proficient in leveraging compliance software and tools such as Safety Culture.
  • Sound grasp of statutory requirements, regulatory frameworks, and industry best practices.
  • Navigate compliance management frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, and internal controls adeptly.
  • Strong understanding of compliance processes, procedures, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Open to change and adapting to new ways of doing things in an ever growing business
  • Decode intricate regulations, translating them into actionable practices.
