Safety Coordinator

• $120,000 - $140,000 + Super + 30% uplift on a 15/6 Roster

Intro has teamed up with a civil contractor who for the past 40 years has become one of the most recognisable names in the civil infrastructure industry.

We are looking to appoint a Safety Coordinator on a permanent basis who will be responsible for the delivery of a major defence project in the Northern Territory.

Position
Your duties include;

• Developing and continuously enhancing the safety culture through the delivery of risk-based safety strategies, including on-going improvement of task observation tools, techniques and methodologies.
• Management of the safety system and reporting including weekly, monthly, quarterly safety KPI reports.
• Management and monitoring of corrective actions, ensuring corrective actions are monitored so they are managed according to their risk profile and adequately resourced.
• Liaising with regulatory agencies.
• Supporting the implementation of the project's safety strategy and associated actions / programs.
• Coaching and mentoring project management teams and all other personnel to understand and achieve their safety accountabilities.

Your Qualifications & Experience 
You will need the following;

• Cert IV in Occupational Health & Safety - Minimum 
• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role 
• Previous infrastructure project experience 
• Proficient Computer skills (Microsoft Office) 
• Construction White Card
