About the Project & Opportunity:
Acciona has been awarded the Design & Construct contract for the Singleton Bypass. This major project will see construction of 8km of single lane highway with 7 bridge structures and upgrades to local intersections. This diverse and challenging project has a 2.5year program ensuring longevity in your role and presenting opportunities to grow within the business.
This sub-function is responsible for all activities related with the safety and health of the company's workers. Its duties include:
- Develop and maintain safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
- Identify workplace hazards and assess risks. Implement measures to reduce and prevent risks.
- Investigate accidents and safety incidents.
- Recommend corrective actions for prevention.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Maintain records, reports, and safety documentation.
Competencies we are after:
- Demonstrated experience in safety and compliance
- Experience in implementing Safety training programs
- Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety, or similar
- Provide First Aid (Level 2), ensuring this certificate is current at all times.
