The Safety Culture Capability Specialist (Senior Project Officer) develops and delivers capability programs to build knowledge, skills, behaviours and practices which support the Victorian healthcare community to build a sound and sustainable safety culture. The role is responsible for the planning, project management, development, delivery, and evaluation of these programs for a variety of stakeholders to support the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care.
This role requires expert knowledge of safety culture within healthcare. The successful candidate will demonstrate experience in program development, excellent communication skills, and strong facilitation experience. The successful candidate will be adept at building relationships across a wide range of stakeholders. They can scope and develop materials using adult learning principles for a range of different participants. They can facilitate complex ambiguous conversations amongst stakeholders with competing needs and conflicting perspectives. They use reflective practice and strengths-based coaching skills. They will evaluate these programs to ensure they are supporting the establishment of shared beliefs and values within the Victorian health community, which promotes safety at all levels.
