Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the organisational-wide HSW Management System.
- Lead the coordination and conducting of audits as per the internal audit program across Council to effectively monitor and measure the health of the HSW system
- Proactively maintain knowledge and monitor changes in WHS legislation and industry best practice to provide up to date advice and recommendations on compliance with legislative requirements.
Essential for your success:
- Tertiary qualification in occupational health and safety (Diploma or Advanced Diploma) with relevant experience; or an equivalent level of expertise
- Considerable knowledge of contemporary HSW and risk management systems, processes and principles, WHS legislation with audit, investigation and/or training experience.
- Highly developed discovery and problem solving skills in evaluating HSW management systems and processes and providing recommendations for HSW system improvement initiatives.
