The Role & Project
The MACA Infrastructure Division is looking for two Safety, Health and Wellbeing Advisor's for the Kimberly region. This is a residential position, with rent assistance and relocation assistance, based Derby and Kununurra Western Australia.
The purpose of this role is to assist with the implementation of Main Roads Safety, Health and Wellbeing (SHW) Strategy in the region, including relevant systems, procedures and plans and to provide specialist advice in investigating SHW matters and recommend practical solutions in line with Main Roads' SHW Strategy and associated Legislation.
MACA's contract in the Kimberly is for of routine road maintenance services, inclusive of plant, staffing, traffic management support and materials in the Kimberley Region.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent);
  • Collecting specimens for alcohol and drug testing certified;
  • Internal auditor (or higher level qualification);
  • Car (C) vehicle licence
  • Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White Card) or (prior to 2010) the Construction Safety Awareness Training (Blue Card)
  • Certification in Lead Investigation (ICAM), (optional);
  • Defensive Driving (optional)

  • 45 hour week
  • hours over 45 hours will be paid at a flat hourly rate
