We are looking for a reliable and motivated individual to join our friendly, well respected and long-established company. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute your previous skills and experience within rehabilitation & Return to Work (RTW), to this 14 Month Fixed Term contract.
Reporting to the Senior Manager - Environmental Health & Safety, this role is responsible for coordinating injury management including acting as site rehabilitation & Return to Work Coordinator and assisting the manager in achieving and maintaining compliance with WHS legislation and best practice. You will actively advocate and coach to support a culture of safety and wellbeing which promotes leadership, engagement and personal responsibility for safety and wellbeing by all employees and contractors.
Responsibilities include:- Coordinate injury management including acting as site rehabilitation & Return to Work Coordinator.
- Support the operational implementation of the rehabilitation and Return to Work program
- Manage the workers compensation and rehabilitation and Return to Work process
- Maintain knowledge of the different insurance schemes and of relevant legislation under the jurisdictions in which Cook operates
- Manage internal and external relationships with key stakeholders in the injury management process
- Implement early intervention strategies to assist injured team members Return to Work
- Maintain accurate and up to date information within the injury management system
- Participate in regular reviews of workers compensation claims
- Assist the manager with WH&S objectives, targets, plans and strategies
- Assist the manager in achieving and maintaining compliance with WHS legislation and best practice
- Maintain currency with relevant WH&S legislation and developments that affect Cook Australia
- Produce and interpret reports when required
- Rehabilitation & Return to Work Coordinator certification or training – essential
- Experience in rehabilitation & Return to Work - within Manufacturing Industry will be highly regarded
- Knowledge and experience in risk assessment and incident investigation desirable
- Experience with safety management software desirable
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, balancing multiple priorities, and ensuring quality standards
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
- Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) essential
