BMW Flooring is a small family-owned business in Nambucca Heads. We supply and install all types of flooring including carpet, vinyl, timber, epoxy, and concrete polishing. What is the Role?
Get ready for a fast-paced and rewarding career. No two days will be the same as you collaborate with respective teams and stakeholders in delivering outstanding services to our customers. As you conduct sales, calculate and submit quotations, order and store products, and liaise with suppliers and customers you will see a job through to completion.
Make your mark by supporting your team and ensuring client expectations are exceeded. Work independently to oversee and organise the day-to-day sales, scheduling, and installation of floor coverings. Your natural flair in home decorating will be a sought-after skill when recommending products to our customers.
Demonstrate your ability to problem-solve and deliver flexible solutions when handling the ever-changing environment of the building/home improvement industry. Show us your juggling skills while efficiently and effectively manipulating multiple tasks, in an autonomous and fast-paced role.
What Experience do I need?
- Excellent communication, mathematical, and teamwork skills
- A proven ability to plan, organise, and manage team workflow
- Strong retail sales skills with a demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service experiences
- Solid IT skills including an ability to use GSuite & Xero (ServiceM8 would be a bonus)
- Forward-thinking and decision-making skills
- Ability to multi-task and be self-directed/accountable
- A track record of autonomously delivering results
- A positive approach to work, taking pride in delivering the very best outcome for a customer
- 2+ years in a similar role
- Relevant tertiary education qualifications (Business Administration, Business Operations ) would be advantageous
What are my Responsibilities?
- Ensuring a smooth transition for the customer from first contact to post sale. This may include regular customer contact, overseeing BMW Flooring installation schedules and ordering stock.
- Customer service. Including emails, phone calls and showroom sales; Calculating and issuing quotations, invoices and product information; following up pre and post sale.
- Ordering stock and job orders. Ensuring all products required are available in the warehouse and ready for installation.
- Scheduling appointments and installations. It is important each installation staff has enough work to fill in a day, without over burdening time and customer requirements.
- Updating in line with progress of customer contact, orders and job instructions.
- Updating and maintaining all price lists and choosing new products for sale within the store.
- Unloading delivery orders using a forklift. (This is not a must have but will train to allow for this in the future.
- Continued professional development with in-store and self-directed education on all products and services.
- Providing insight and guidance into aspects of the business you have knowledge of and can see room for improvement.
- Completing tasks by the end of day to ensure all staff are aware of their responsibilities for the following day (this must be completed before you leave for the day)
- Administrative tasks.
- Showroom upkeep; clean, update samples and displays monitored.
- Meeting KPI’s (these will be developed at 6 months in collaboration with your manager)
