More about the Role:
This role will be supported by an already excelling team and will operate budget free until 01 July 2024 to ensure that it is a pressure free commencement and allows you time to familiarise yourself with the product range and the design process.
As the newest member of this small and relaxed team, you will dedicate your time to building and maintaining positive and professional relationships with an already existing client base.
As an experienced sales consultant, you will naturally be on the lookout for new clients or opportunities however this role has no cold calling requirements.
Some of the duties will include:
- Proactively manage an existing portfolio of clients.
- Identify new clients & develop sales plans.
- Plan and execute a call/visit cycle for your portfolio and organise site meetings.
- Develop new customer streams through various methods including networking, trade shows and responding to web-based enquiries.
- Take accurate site measurements and provide detailed sketches of sites and equipment.
- Produce pre-conceptual designs and revisions as required.
- Take detailed briefs to enable design proposals to be created.
- Present and close sales on concepts and maintenance works.
- Learn the product ranges to be able to educate clients on products and to also enable appropriate product suggestions.
- Provide sales forecasts and achieve budgets on a monthly basis.
- Work closely with the Project Manager and Works team to achieve success.
- Be heavily involved and genuinely interested in the whole process - design, manufacture & installation.
- Learn the design elements to the role to become a well-rounded Sales and Design Consultant.
A background with sales in construction, building supplies, home renovations or landscaping will be looked upon favourably.
The Minimum Requirements:
- Highly developed sales skills and the ability to grow a portfolio of customers.
- A high level of communication and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe applications.
- A genuine interest in learning the design side of this position.
- The ability to be meticulous, accurate and analytical.
- Strong customer focus attitude with a consultative and solutions-based sales style
- Demonstrated conceptual design and space planning skills.
- Experience with formal quoting, tender responses and contracts.
- A current and valid driver's license (role includes regional work and site visits).
- An autonomous worker who also enjoys and works well while being part of a team.
If you are successful you will need to:
- Obtain a Working with Children card.
- Produce or obtain a National Police Clearance.
Previous experience with AutoCAD/Microstation Bentley would be advantageous but is not essential.
