1.Purpose

The purpose of the Sales Development Representative role is to actively work with the Sales Team and the Marketing team in creating strategies and tactics that will drive sales, this includes qualifying leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities, contacting potential clients through cold calling techniques and presenting the Pitney Bowes suite of Products to potential clients.

2.Key Accountabilities

  • Research and build out of prospects and accounts by vertical and or product/solution (this includes Conduct proactive research on accounts using Google, LinkedIn, and other tools);

  • Prospect and nurture multiple targets and campaigns through intelligent martech stack;

  • Create a competitive culture that manages objections and drives qualified leads and opportunities;

  • Cultivate a measurement and feedback loop to product marketing to inform and validate offerings;

  • Build key relationships, identify opportunities, all whilst maintaining knowledge of current market conditions and having a good understanding of the technology available;

  • Crucially maintaining the client relationship through the buyers' journey, especially to triage protracted sales cycles;

  • Drive outbound 'named account' prospecting to generate new logo business opportunities, call into senior management and liaise with C-Level and senior management contacts;

  • Educate prospective customers on the value of Pitney Bowes solutions and qualify opportunities with business potential;

  • Execute programs to increase pipeline generation, event participation and create awareness;

  • Support prospect and community awareness and education of Pitney Bowes solutions and trends across social media channels;

  • Follow up on inbound enquiries and leads generated through APAC marketing campaigns and provide feedback to marketing on the quality of these leads & prospects;

  • Use CRM (Salesforce) to track activities and attend weekly territory forecast meetings and update team on progress of identify activities; and

  • And any other task that is required to be completed by the business from time to time.

3.Measurables

  • Ability to identify process improvements and implement sustainable profitable change strategies;

  • Enjoy working in a team environment, influencing direction as much as taking direction;

  • Liaise effectively with key internal and external stakeholders;

  • Ability to resolve problems effectively; and

  • Lateral thinker who can engineer innovative and creative solutions.

4.Key Capabilities/Qualifications/Experience

  • Minimum (and demonstrable) 5 years of relevant B2B experience including cold calling (non-negotiable);

  • Minimum (and demonstrable) 2-3 years Technology / solution selling product experience to the focused segments/ enterprise clients in ANZ. (non-negotiable)

  • Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Executive, or similar role, including hunting new accounts mindset (google/LinkedIn);

  • Ability to engage C-level executives, and engage in PB activities, for example webinars

  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques, including being able to lead nurturing at each stage from general enquiries to demonstration till develop stage;

  • Track record of achieving sales objectives;

  • Experience with prospecting software (e.g., Outreach);

  • Excellent communication and listening skills;

  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations;

  • Ability to support build and nurture relationships with prospects of all levels of authority;

  • Inquisitive, logical thinker with strong problem-solving skills;

  • Collaborative working style and team player;

  • Ability to effectively work in an agile work environment using a variety of communication tools to engage with Clients and Prospects and with other Pitney Bowes resources, working in a non-typical office environment remotely. Travel and face to face meetings will be required as necessary.
