The Role
The entry-level Sales Development Representative (SDR) role – based in Melbourne – will be instrumental to the success of our outbound sales and marketing strategy activities. Your role will be centered on outreach, prospecting, and qualifying leads. This means you will be identifying sales opportunities, connecting with leads, determining if they’re a good customer fit and shepherding your leads through the sales pipeline. You will not be required to close the deal, rather deliver the most aligned qualified prospect to Annexa’s Business Development Managers, who will continue the sales process to a successful close.
What do we need from you?
- Minimum of 2 years in B2B sales or experience in an outbound sales or marketing role in the IT industry
- Strong determination to meet performance goals and win
- Readiness to flex your skills in prospective customer research
- Confidence in ability to listen and communicate clearly
- Ability to prioritise, be proactive and follow up with sense of urgency
- CRM knowledge and experience
- University Degree is highly preferable
What will a day look like for you?
- Generate sales leads by prospecting and outbound emailing (Hubspot) and calling
- Assessing ‘customer fit’ to align with Annexa customer profile
- Qualify sales leads generated by phone, email, marketing, networking events, exhibitions and target account lists
- Contribute and support Business Development Managers and Account Managers
- Record accurate and detailed notes in CRM to track daily and weekly sales activities
